Amazon.com Hiring for New Phoenix Facility

Local job seekers looking for everything from Phoenix sales jobs to the IT jobs Tempe has to offer may want to consider working with the most popular online retailer.

Amazon.com recently announced its plans to open a new fulfillment center in Phoenix. The new facility will bring hundreds of new full-time and seasonal jobs to the area.

The 1.2 million-square-foot facility will be the company's fourth in the Phoenix area. Amazon owns more than 4 million square feet of space in the area, and in addition to the new facility, also recently announced plans to build a 400,000-square-foot expansion on one facility.

"We continue to expand Amazon's presence in Arizona, adding hundreds of additional jobs at our new facility," Dave Clark, vice president of Amazon North American Operations, said in a statement. "We're grateful to ... state officials who have demonstrated their commitment to Amazon jobs and investment."

Amazon is currently looking for people to fill hourly positions in picking, packing and receiving/shipping. The company also is hiring for operations, safety, human resources, and technical support management positions.

Employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical and dental insurance; company-paid vision, life, and disability insurance; paid vacation; annual stock grants; and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
