Odd things I learned at ERE

Last week's ERE fall expo was an interesting experience. I had some great conversations, heard lots of stories and met interesting people. But these 4 things were perhaps the oddest stuff I heard all week.

1. I actually met a 22 year old who DOESN'T have either a MySpace page or Facebook profile.

2. I learned a new word called "drunk-texting" (no, it wasn't me)

3. One twenty-something female I met admitted to texting 6500 times in one month. (that's mind boggling)

4. A vendor told me the story of how he found his latest sales person --- at a bar. Talk about innovative sourcing! A sales manager was at a bar after work with some colleagues. They struck up a conversation with another group of people who were having a good time. One of them was a 27 year old woman who sold radio advertising. He gave her his card and she looked him up a few days later. He offered her a job.
